We build bridges

Capvent is a Private Equity house founded in 2000, offering both direct and funds exposure to private equity markets in Asia. Our headquarters are in Zurich, Switzerland and we operate an on the ground presence thanks to our network of 5 offices in Asia. We began by managing Funds of Funds focused on the European and US middle market, as an Alpha returns oriented private equity house. Our focus has consistently been away from the large managers on our markets, as we believe that the middle market is where the real opportunity lies. As a Fund of Funds we were unique in that we are among the only managers where our principals come from the direct side.

Now we also invest directly -  and presently our activty is almost equally split between the direct and the fund of funds side. We have also grown a very strong focus towards Asia where we have 5 of our 6 offices, and the bulk of our team.

Since inception, Capvent has evaluated and has invested over U.S.$1.25 billion into the private equity asset class all over the world. This includes a mix of private equity funds and direct investments. We have experience in various investment strategies including buyout, mezzanine, growth, venture, distressed and turnaround, secondary and co-investments. Our investor list includes insurance companies, pension plans, family offices, and consulting groups from the US, Europe and Japan. To our portfolio companies and the GPs we focus strongly on 'building bridges' - connecting them to an exceptional network that we possess globally.
