Capvent was one of the early institutional investors to focus on private equity in emerging Asia and established our local Asia presences from 2003. Over the years, we have developed a strong reputation as a committed and experienced investor in these markets. Since we were one of the early PE investors in emerging markets, we have a deep understanding of the drivers for achieving our target return. Private equity managers appreciate the vast experience, discipline and transparency that we introduce into their investment process, while portfolio companies look to us for the unique networks and connections we bring that are unparalleled in the industry. In Asia alone we have reviewed over 500 PE groups in China and India, and virtually all of the relevant groups in South East Asia. In addition we have reviewed hundreds of direct investment opportunities across the region. As of March 31, 2012, we have advised over U.S. $370.0MM to 25 funds and 6 direct investments in the region.
