Gordon has worked in Asia since 1992, with over 13 years of experience in Asian private equity. He co-founded Baring Private Equity Asia in 1998, and currently heads its China office in Shanghai.

Prior to joining Baring Gordon was Director at AIG Global Investment Corporation (Asia) Ltd., and head of Equity Investment Department at Nan Shan Life Insurance - AIG’s flagship insurance subsidiary in Taiwan. Prior to AIG, he worked in Citibank’s private equity and corporate finance departments. Before returning to Asia, Gordon was Senior Design Engineer at Schlumberger Technologies in San Jose, California.

Gordon holds BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and MBA from Columbia Business School. He is on the board of various portfolio companies including Depo Auto Parts (6605.TT), Minth Group (0425.HK), DVN Holdings (0500.HK).
