Capvent was founded in July 2000 by Managing Partners Tom Clausen and Varun Sood. Tom and Varun saw an opportunity to offer sophisticated investors a highly focused, disciplined and performance-oriented approach to investing in the private equity asset class.

Capvent has since established a reputation in the industry for being one of the most disciplined and sophisticated private equity investment firms in Europe . We manage and advise private equity and alternative programs of over $1Bn in size, invested in over 60 groups woldwide. We also have a strong focus on the high growth markets of India and China. In India we run specific diversified private equity programs and have a substantal presence.
