The firm has carried out such research covering both developed and emerging private equity markets. These studies are aimed at identifying both the areas where strong future potential for private equity investment exists, and the teams that could be well-positioned to capitalize on them. Capvent's research is made available to our investor partners, and is not released publicly.

While the more mature markets of North America and Western Europe are well developed and broadly understood,emerging markets have shorter histories of private equity investment. Capvent established its office in India in 2003 to build a team from within one of the key emerging markets, and has made a significant effort to building expertise in markets such as India,China, Central Europe and Latin America.
